2016-2021 Honda Civic Non-Si 1.5T Short Ram Air Intake System

For customers who prefer not to run a cold air intake, the PRL Motorsports Short Ram Intake System is an excellent option for the 2016-2021 Honda Civic Non-Si 1.5T. Its CNC-machined billet aluminum MAF housing is designed to deliver factory-spec fuel trims (within -4% of factory STFT and LTFT) for optimal drivability and performance. The system uses a 4" air filter and is available with two MAF housing choices — a Standard Bore housing that requires no tuning, and a Big Bore housing that flows 50% more air and requires a tune.

Performance Testing

The Standard Bore MAF housing produces gains of 15 horsepower and 12 lb-ft of torque over stock with no tune. The Big Bore MAF housing produces 20 horsepower and 15 lb-ft over stock when paired with a Big Bore MAF basemap calibration on Hondata or KTuner, with larger gains available at higher power levels through custom tuning. Note that short ram intakes are sensitive to heat-soak on this chassis, so gains lessen as the engine and intake heat-soak — PRL recommends the Cobra Cold Air Intake for this reason.
